The hacker continues targeting those close to Max, including another ex-girlfriend, Hillary. After the hacker takes a different approach, Max temporarily believes he has outsmarted Xi. However, the hacker's influence persists, as they continue to pose as a student, among other things. Always lurking in the shadows... Meanwhile, Max's new job with Oscar-winning filmmaker Bryan Fogel offers Xi a fresh opportunity to exploit him.
